Allen, Anderson, Bourbon & Woodson County Public Health Nurses, under the guidance of the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, conduct follow-ups on designated reportable diseases.

Certain communicable disease cases may cause our Health Departments to suspend all other activities in order to investigate and prevent the spread of the infectious disease. The Health Departments work closely with local physicians and school nurses to prevent the spread of disease.
